Printing Methods

SKS Printing has been an early embracer of technological changes and has been using computer to plate technology for a number of years. With demands on time, this has enabled us to provide on-site plates to our presses in a matter of minutes, meaning that jobs are put to press sooner after proof approvals.

Since simple woodblock printing methods to modern day lithographic presses, the basic concept of offset printing has not changed, but rather improved with industrial and technological development. Today, based on the concept of repulsion of oil and water to transfer an image from a master plate to the paper surface, modern printing presses provides us with the ability to create amazing image definition whether it be a run of 100 or a run of a million.

Today, SKS Printing maintains a fleet of industry standard Heidelberg printing presses, capable of providing outstanding results impression after impression. From single PMS spot colour work to CMYK full colour process, we have a solution for every job that we print.

With demands on consistent image quality, offset printing is your cost effective solution for repetitive medium & large run productions. Our production staff take pride in all work delivered and with a fine eye for detail, ensure that each impression is as standout as the last.

Digital imaging and printing have come a long way in the last couple of years to provide a cost effective solution to short run and variable data jobs, especially when time is of the essence. With developments in technology, today’s digital printing is comparable in quality to the offset process, and in some instances can surpass it. Being computer file based, digital printing means that every image or text can be different (variable data printing) and delivery of the finished product is almost instantaneous.

SKS Printing has been at the forefront of the Digital revolution and today operates state of the art Fuji Xerox Production presses, capable in providing cost effective runs with outstanding results in either black & white or full colour. With a range of additional products specifically available to Fuji Xerox machines, we are able to offer a number of specialty products that have normally only been available via offset channels (for example presentation folders, conference ID & security materials and tab stocks).
